Vaastu and five elements-
The human body is made up of five elements. These elements are earth, water, air, fire and sky. These five elements have been used in ancient Vaastu Shastra in house construction by harmonizing them according to the elemental predominance of man, which has a favorable effect on the homeowner. Houses constructed in this way prove to be providers of happiness, prosperity and health. In other words, the punch of the universe
There is always an invisible equation between the elements and the Panch (five) elements of the residential house, the waves emanating from which keep affecting the human being. By this man gets good health, wealth and prosperity.
The position of the above mentioned five elements inside the body is as follows-
1-Sky resides in the human brain.
2-Fire resides in human shoulders.
3-Air resides in the human navel.
4-The earth resides in human knees.
5-Elements like water reside in human feet.
These five elements have a special place in Vaastu shastra. If proper care is taken of these elements while constructing residential and commercial buildings, then the gift of amazing powers of the universe will prove helpful in making human life happy and prosperous.
Sky- By keeping the walls etc. high, a person gets adequate sky element in the house. For example, the domes and arches of palaces, forts, temples, Gurudwaras are symbols of the sky element. Due to the small walls of the house, the development of sky element in a person’s body stops, hence according to the principles of Vaastu Shastra, proper place of sky should be kept in the building.
Fire- Fire has special importance in our daily life. Fire is considered a sacred place for auspicious works. Fire has the special quality of brightness. The energy of fire is also obtained from sunlight in the building. There should be such a proper arrangement of windows in the building so that the pure and clean rays of the sun enter through them in the morning and spread throughout the building. For this it is necessary to keep the courtyard open.
Air – According to the principles of Vaastu Shastra, air enters the building through doors and windows, hence the north side of the building should be open for air. Proper arrangements should be made for entry and exit of air through skylights and windows in every house.
Earth – Earth is also one of the five elements. Its gravitational power has its effect on all living and non- living things; hence the earth element has special importance. Life started from earth and other elements. Earth is the mother of all living and non- living things. This is the purpose of Bhoomi Pujan while constructing a building. The environment and unique forces outside the atmosphere also have a very close connection with the Earth. The land of the plot, surgical defects and size of the plot etc. are seen in the earth element.
According to the principles of Water- Vaastu Shastra, the water area in the house should be in the pure direction. Not only should the water tap, water tank and rooftop water tank be in the right direction, the drainage of water should also be in the right direction. If the water used is affected by the rays of the sun during the day and the rays of the moon at night, then the use of such water provides health. Everyone in the house remains healthy.
By giving due importance and proper place to the above mentioned five elements, every human being should strive for health, progress, prosperity and peace of mind. The principle of Vaastu Shastra is based on these five elements. It is very important to maintain their proper balance in building construction.
